Facts on Marijuana and THC levels

(−)-trans-Δ9-tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) from the cannabinoids chemical group is the most prevalent psychoactive constituent in marijuana that causes behavioral toxicity or the “high” feeling. Slovenia Continues its Effort to Reduce Roadside Fatalities Due to Alcohol Abuse

The planning and implementation of systematic approaches to reducing alcohol abuse amongst drivers is top priority of EU countries in the last 10-20 years. With joint efforts to change existing policies, European Member States successfully decreased annual roadside fatalities by 43% in the span of 2001-2010. Further, in 2015, EU members introduced code 69 where convicted drivers can only operate vehicles that contain alcohol interlocks to better facilitate safe driving across Europe. However, it’s up to member states how and when they will implement and execute the program.

Alcohol Interlocks – The Case of North American and Europe

An alcohol interlock is a breathalyzer attached to a vehicle’s dashboard that prevents the vehicle engine from starting if the driver blows over a preset limit. The device blocks the signal from traveling from the ignition switch to the vehicle starter. An Electronic Control Unit (ECU) is installed under the vehicle’s hood to record all information from the handset.
