Network and Services Supervisor - Toronto, ON

We are currently looking for a permanent, full-time Network and Services Supervisor for our Toronto, ON location. The Network and Service Supervisor co-ordinates and facilitates the management, adoption and utilization of Information Technology resources within the organization, providing services to the corporate infrastructure and product development areas. Lead IT Department operations, development, and planning, including aspects of software and service development.

Responsibilities :

  • Assess, analyze, and report on capabilities and requirements of the IT infrastructure; provide recommendations and strategies to allow these requirements to be satisfied.
  • Work with senior management and departmental stakeholders to define business and technology requirements and proposals for new product and service implementations.
  • Manage the acquisition, deployment, configuration, and administration of corporate IT assets, including servers, software, and networking assets.
  • Ensure the strategic application of the correct set of technologies by keeping informed of the latest developments in the IT field.
  • Guide and manage the IT project portfolio; working to ensure the primary business objectives set forth by senior management are being addressed and prioritized as necessary.
  • Develop human resource potential of IT team members through evaluation, education, and objective setting.
  • Guide the development, adoption, and implementation of policies and procedures in areas such as architecture, quality assurance, security, disaster recovery, standards and practices.
  • Contribute to RFP submissions and other external-facing documentation agreements.
  • Manage all aspects of the Data Centre; HVAC, Fire Suppression, UPS, Genset etc. including monitoring and maintenance.

Firmware (embedded software) Designer - Etobicoke, ON

ACS is currently looking for a permanent, full-time Firmware (embedded software) Designer for our Toronto, Ontario location, to work within a product design/launch with responsibility for design, testing and documentation of firmware for electronic breath alcohol testers.

Responsibilities:

  • Establish design requirements, specifications, block diagrams, test requirements, test plans and test procedures for the firmware as part of the product
  • Develop new operational algorithms

Infrastructure Specialist - Toronto, ON

We are currently looking for a permanent, full-time Infrastructure Specialist for our Toronto , ON location. The Infrastructure Specialist is responsible for administering and maintaining the development, QA, Staging and Production environments that hosts our mission-critical business systems.

Responsibilities :

  • Development of procedures as they relate to database maintenance, security, and archiving
  • Maintain availability of the production system and all supporting systems including Development and Test environments
  • Leadership role in recovery of Unix Server, Database (DB2) Server, SQL Server, Websphere Server (i.e. as needed and as part of Disaster Recovery Plan)
  • Understanding infrastructure system parameters, their implications on performance and hoe to best tune them for optimal performance

  • Directing and participating in preventive maintenance to avoid potential problems from occurring and to improve system performance if necessary
  • Participating in projects that have requirements for application infrastructure management (such as performance testing, benchmarking, tuning, and management) and executing required tasks to a high level of quality.

  • Would be required to carry a pager and alleviate some of the existing concerns pertaining to the Support department

Program Coordinator - Eagan, MN

ALCOLOCK, Eagan , MN is currently looking for a full time Program Coordinator to be responsible for the management of ignition interlock program services, including all Service Centers and direct reporting responsibilities for all Alcolock personnel, as well as ensuring timely and complete reporting to the government authorities.
Responsibilities :
• Responsible for the coordination of activities, ensure proper training of local staff and implementation and maintaining program services for all service centers within the jurisdiction, including maintaining the Service Delivery policies and procedures;
• Ensures that quotas for service delivery and deadlines are met;
• Responsible for all compliance audits in all Service Centers within the jurisdiction, as directed by the Regional Program Services Manager;

Responsibilities:

  • Creation, updating and maintaining corporate documentation such as, but not limited to: User, Operating, Calibration, Troubleshooting, Install, Repair, Procedure, Development, and Report documents.
  • Ensure deadlines are met through collaboration with technical services, engineering and other departments requiring documentation services.

We are currently looking for a permanent, full-time Junior Helpdesk Analyst for our Toronto, ON location. The individual would provide support to end users on a variety of issues. Identifies, researches, and resolves technical problems. Responds to telephone calls, emails, and personnel requests for technical support. Tracks and monitors the problem to insure a timely resolution. Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.

Responsibilities:

Automotive Technician - Level 2 - Durham, NC

ALCOLOCK NC is currently looking to fill an Automotive Technician – Level 2 position for our Durham, NC location. This position will be responsible to coordinate and conduct alcohol interlock installations, services and service calls (if required) to ensure timely professional service individually or as part of a Service Center team. This position may require mobile service responsibility and the possibility of being assigned to more than one fixed Service Center.

Responsibilities:

  • The Automotive Technician is responsible for the daily activity of installation, service and removal policies and procedures at any given location as assigned;
  • Performs administrative tasks to support the Program;
  • Familiar with a variety of jurisdictional regulations, practices and procedures. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals;
  • Answering telephone inquiries and promoting the ignition interlock program’s products and services;
  • Train and instruct clients on how to use the alcohol interlock device;
  • Install, service and remove the alcohol interlock device into clients vehicles following program guidelines;
  • Schedule client appointments within the Application Software as needed;
  • Research customer compliance within the program;
  • Assist in jurisdictional and other required testing;
  • Assist in checking of equipment returns to ensure all data is obtained;

Product Support – Technical - Toronto, ON

We are currently looking to fill a permanent, full-time Product Support – Technical positon for our Toronto, Ontario location. The primary responsibilities of the Product Support position is to support the manufacturing processes and to collaborate with R&D to provide technical service provision, working with engineering personnel, manufacturing design and quality personnel, inclusive of customer support and customer communication.

  • Collaborate with R&D during new and existing product start-ups ensuring that all Production readiness requirements are met
  • Familiarity with manufacturing methods, ability to learn proprietary test procedures, utilizing knowledge of product design, materials and parts, fabrication processes.
  • Testing, debugging, troubleshooting and repair at a component level (leaded and SMT) of analog and digital circuits, providing proposed test solutions
  • Assisting in drafting technical documents
  • Assists in determining tooling and production equipment requirements and makes the recommendation to design and build “in house” or purchase.
  • Recommends the purchase of equipment, materials, or parts, and evaluates products according to specifications and quality standards.
  • Applies statistical methods to equipment and processes
  • Provide technical assistance/troubleshooting to the various Production Cells
  • Is comfortable with dealing with clients and customer concerns utilizing all media communication types
  • Supports the Lean manufacturing initiatives including 5S and Value Stream Mapping to improve / redesign processes to eliminate waste and non-value items.
  • Ensure compliance to TS16949, ISO9001, ISO 14000 standards including PFMEA and SPC.

Winning Profile:

  • Graduate in Electronics/ Mechanical/ Electrical or Equivalent
  • A minimum of 2 years working experience in Electronics Manufacturing environment
