Assembler (Contract) - Toronto, ON

We are currently looking for a two contract Assemblers for our Toronto, Ontario location, to assemble finished product and or sub-assemblies according to prescribed work instructions.

Responsibilities:

  • Solder and or manually assemble various electronic or mechanical components
  • Install, mount, fasten, align, and adjust parts, components, wiring and harnesses to subassemblies and assemblies using hand and small power tools
  • Check final assembly for functionality, labeling and appearance standards
  • Follow safety rules and company policies
  • Other duties as assigned by Production Department Management.

Winning Profile:

  • Demonstrated ability to solder and assemble electronic components at an SMT level required
  • Soldering experience
  • Must be able to speak, read and write English at a basic level
  • Computer literate

Electronics Technician –Level 2 - Toronto, ON

We are currently looking for a permanent, two full-time Electronics Technician –Level 2 for our Toronto, Ontario location. This position is responsible to complete category 2 repairs, and assists Level 3 Technicians with training, and technical support.

Responsibilities:

  • Product/component defect analysis and resolution.
  • Component testing and repair/replacement (leaded and SMT) of analog and digital circuits.
  • Completion of service reports
  • Working in accordance to our Quality Management System, along with following company safety rules and company policies.
  • Ensure that they are following safety rules and company policies.
  • Other duties as required by Production Department Management.

Working Conditions:

  • Light assembly work in an electronics environment
  • 40 hours per week, overtime when required

Winning Profile:

  • Electronics Engineering Technology Diploma or equivalent
  • 2-3 years experience specializing in testing, debugging and repair of electronic components or systems

Call Centre Representative (Contract) - Toronto, ON

We are currently looking for a contract Call Centre Representative for our Toronto, Ontario location , to schedule installation appointments and client program services to ensure timely professional service for the ALCOLOCK Program and other related duties.

Responsibilities:

  • Answering telephone inquiries and promoting the alcohol interlock products and services.
  • Perform administrative tasks to support the ALCOLOCK Program for a variety of jurisdictions.
  • Schedule and receive payment against client programs for installation, monitor, reset, early service, removal and other necessary appointments.
  • Troubleshoot problems and direct them to the appropriate department.
  • Research and resolve complaints to ensure customer retention and satisfaction.
  • Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the Enterprise InterTrack. Software and Program requirements.
  • Maintain daily logs as required.
  • Locate and retrieve client records as requested.
  • End of Program Filing – review and file appropriately.
  • May be required to complete specific reports.

Automotive Technician - Eagan, MN

ALCOLOCK MN is currently looking to fill an Automotive Technician position for our Eagan , MN location. This position will be responsible to coordinate and conduct alcohol interlock installations, services and service calls (if required) to ensure timely professional service individually or as part of a Service Center team.

Responsibilities:

  • The Automotive Technician is responsible for the daily activity of installation, service and removal policies and procedures at any given location as assigned;
  • Performs administrative tasks to support the Program;
  • Ensures quotas for service delivery and deadlines are met;
  • Familiar with a variety of jurisdictional regulations, practices and procedures. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals;
  • Answering telephone inquiries and promoting the ignition interlock program’s products and services;
  • Locate and retrieve client records as required;
  • Train and instruct clients on how to use the alcohol interlock device;
  • Install, service and remove the alcohol interlock device into clients vehicles following program guidelines;
  • Calibrate and monitor device as needed;
  • Schedule client appointments within the Application Software as needed;
  • Research customer compliance within the program;
  • Assist in jurisdictional and other required testing;
  • Assist in checking of equipment returns to ensure all data is obtained;
  • Other duties as required.

Winning Profile:

  • Strong Inter-Personal Skills to manage both customer and employees;
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team;
  • MECP Certification, ASE Certification or equivalent, an asset;
  • Candidate should have 1-3 years experience with installation of car alarm systems and/or remote starters;
  • Solid knowledge of automobile electrical systems;
  • Ability to read and understand automobile electrical diagrams;
  • Familiarity with voltmeters, ammeters, etc is essential;

Business Development Associate - Austin, TX

ALCOLOCK TX is currently looking to fill an Business Development Associate position for our Austin, TX location. This position is responsible for increasing the ALCOLOCK ignition interlock program client base within the jurisdicition.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop strategic sales business plan to include client path from conviction to non-restrictive driving permit – know all touch points and opportunities along this path;
  • Travel to existing and potential markets within the jurisdiction to promote the ALCOLOCK program to all relevant stakeholders;
  • Develop sales and marketing plan to strength the brand and long-term client-based objectives;
  • Attend conferences or trade shows, whenever and wherever required, to promote the ignition interlock program.
  • Liaise with Program staff when necessary to ensure compliance with program legislation and regulations;
  • Source and vet potential contract service centers throughout the jurisdiction;
  • Familiarity with all regulations, practices and procedures throughout the jurisdiction;
  • Assist with training and set up for contract service centers throughout the jurisdiction;
  • Answering telephone inquiries and promoting the ALCOLOCK ignition interlock program and related products and services;

Winning Profile:

  • Completion of recognized Business or Marketing degree or diploma; or two to five years related experience and/or training in marketing, sales or public relations with specific knowledge and awareness of marketing principles and best practices.
  • Strong interpersonal skills towards customers and employees;
  • Must be fluent in English. A second language is beneficial;
  • Accounting courses or experience desirable;

Infrastructure Specialist - Toronto, ON

We are currently looking for a permanent, full-time Infrastructure Specialist for our Toronto , ON location. The Infrastructure Specialist is responsible for administering and maintaining the development, QA, Staging and Production environments that hosts our mission-critical business systems.

Responsibilities :

  • Development of procedures as they relate to database maintenance, security, and archiving
  • Maintain availability of the production system and all supporting systems including Development and Test environments
  • Leadership role in recovery of Unix Server, Database (DB2) Server, SQL Server, Websphere Server (i.e. as needed and as part of Disaster Recovery Plan)
  • Understanding infrastructure system parameters, their implications on performance and hoe to best tune them for optimal performance
  • Work with Software Development tem for system ling-term capacity planning, system sizing, software, and hardware recommendations and application/tool upgrades
  • Monitor and Coordinate application/system patches to the Systems/Application Tier in the Production, Development, and Test environments
  • Mentoring and guiding the Sys/DB/Application Support in their work by supporting them and responding to issues raided by them
  • Identifying areas to be monitored and put processes in place to collect the pertinent data
  • Tune the application based on monitored data to establish the most optimized environment possible.
  • Guiding a cross-functional team (such as Unix, DBAs, Applications Support, vendors, business, ect.) in problem isolation, diagnosis, resolution options, and problem resolution.
  • Directing and participating in preventive maintenance to avoid potential problems from occurring and to improve system performance if necessary
  • Participating in projects that have requirements for application infrastructure management (such as performance testing, benchmarking, tuning, and management) and executing required tasks to a high level of quality.
  • Clone environment when required to replicate and test fix for production problem
  • Monitor/Review and work with Infrastructure team in performing daily database maintenance activities (i.e. analyzing schemas, pinning application objects, space configurations, tuning, ect.) as well as alert logs and trace files that are generated
  • Develop and Implement Disaster Recovery Plan
  • Monitor, maintain, and tune the application servers
  • Would be required to carry a pager and alleviate some of the existing concerns pertaining to the Support department

Winning Profile :

  • Bachelors Degree, preferably in Computer Science, Engineering, or Information Systems
  • Experience in UNIX systems, database, (DB2) and network administration (5+years) and must have skills and working experience in:
  • UNIX Servers, UDB, DB2 Servers, Websphere Servers, SQL Server 2000
  • Cold fusion, MX Dreamweaver, Java, Performance
  • Web Technology, Mail Servers
  • Visio, Erwin, Perl
  • Demonstrated advanced problem solving and issue resolution skills
  • Thorough knowledge of RDBMSs required. This may include writing SQL and stored procedures as well
  • Ability to work independently, and in a team environment with many competing priorities
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills (verbal, written, and listening)
  • Ability to communicate in technical and non-technical terms, ability to deal with ambiguity, customer focus, and “can do” attitude
