TORONTO, Monday, June 26, 2017—Alcohol Countermeasure Systems Corp. (ACS) attended Society of Automotive Engineers of Japan (JSAE) from May 24th to May 26th to showcase the ALCOLOCK™ L series line of ignition interlocks. JSAE was founded with a single goal, to organize a society to take on automotive engineering with an objective to advance and develop science and technology associated to automobiles, and improve the quality of life for humanity. Today JSAE membership has exceeded 50,000.
JSAE publishes hundreds of automotive standards for systems, parts, performance for passengers and more to address issues dealing with quality, safety and liability while increasing both efficiency and compatibility. JSAE helps to increase market share, minimize risk and speed time-to-market.
ACS brought their new line of ALOLOCK L series products including their ECUs: ALCOLOCK LC with GPS and Wi-Fi to improve safety and reduce risk, ideal for vehicles that frequently return to a central fleet garage; ALCOLOCK LT, the smallest full-featured ignition interlock, ideal for light duty fleet operations; and ALCOLOCK L with real-time fleet monitoring and reporting that includes data transfer via GPRS and GPS.
Alongside the line of ignition interlocks was the ALCOLOCK Focus camera, a windshield-mounted camera that takes images and identifies the driver as the source of the breath sample. This device is compatible with all L series ECUs.
“Attending the largest Japanese automotive technology exposition, and showcasing our innovations in automotive engineering at JSAE was well received,” says John Colton, Director Commercial Interlocks at ACS. “Road Safety is a global risk and collaborative partnerships such as JSAE help advance innovation and improve safety across multiple commercial industries.
