Designed to be intuitive, quick and effortless, the DRIVESAFE élan requires the user to follow three simple steps: (1) Download the DRIVESAFE élan application onto the user’s smartphone, (2) wirelessly pair with the DRIVESAFE élan, and (3) select Breath Test or BAC Estimatorto either take a breath test or estimate BAC.
The DRIVESAFE élan gives the user 3 options: Take a breath test, use the BAC Estimator or see their BAC history. Icons on the smartphone guide the user confidently through any selection.
“The BAC Estimator notes the user’s height, weight and gender along with the volume, percentage and time of each drink to give an estimated Blood Alcohol Content (BAC) and an estimated sobriety time,” noted Felix J.E. Comeau, Chairman and CEO–Alcohol Countermeasure Systems (ACS).
The DRIVESAFE élan uses advanced electrochemical sensors, the standard for law enforcement breathalyzers, for stability and accuracy.
“Our primary goal is to promote road safety though industry-leading breath alcohol testing technology. For this reason, it isn’t enough to tell our customers their BAC results, once a breath test is given, users will be given the option to call a friend or a taxi for a safe ride home,” continued Felix J.E. Comeau.
The DRIVESAFE élan is compatible with Android™ 5.0 and above and Apple® iOS 9.0 and above.
For over 25 years, DRIVESAFE breathalyzers have been trusted by professionals to ensure safety on the roads and in the workplace. DRIVESAFE breathalyzers provide a single point of reference for unbiased evaluations of breath alcohol concentration.
