Drug detection

The ultimate goal of this project is to develop an integrated device that uses an engineered protein to concentrate and purify cannabinoids which are detected electrochemically. The major steps of the project include improvement of sensitivity for psychoactive cannabinoids by optimization of electrochemical assays, optimization of the affinity and specificity between the engineered protein and cannabinoids and development of an integrated device for sampling and measurement along with associated sample handling protocols.
