Iveco Bus recently won a public tender to supply 51 new minibuses to the Lithuanian Ministry of Education. The Iveco minibuses are intended to transport students and children with reduced mobility to primary and secondary schools and sporting events.
Iveco Daily school buses have 19 seats and are fully equipped with the most modern security solutions that meet all European Union safety and quality standards. Fully equipped with ALCOLOCK™ alcohol interlock devices, the Daily model was voted “International Minibus of the Year 2017”.
Society is often unforgiving towards professional drivers causing a crash resulting in injury while driving under the influence of alcohol, especially if they are transporting children. With the ALCOLOCK device installed Iveco Bus proves they are committed to employees, clients and society by guaranteeing the safety of their fleets and bringing the chances of a driver starting one of their minibuses after drinking to zero.
“ALCOLOCK devices easily prevent dangerous situations before they take place and provide peace of mind to parents who shouldn’t have to worry about whether or not their children have arrived to school safely. Iveco’s decision to select ALCOLOCK provides reassurance to all of their passengers and is a step forward for public safety in Lithuania” says John Colton, Director of Commercial Interlocks at ACS.
